Guido van Rossum, the creator of the Python programming language, nowadays declared that he has unretired and joined Microsoft’s Developer Division.
Van Rossum, who was last employed by Dropbox, retired previous Oct following 6 and a half years at the firm. Clearly, that retirement was not intended to previous. At Microsoft, van Rossum states, he’ll operate to “make applying Python much better for confident (and not just on Windows).”
A Microsoft spokesperson advised us that the enterprise also does not have any extra information to share but verified that van Rossum has in truth joined Microsoft. “We’re enthusiastic to have him as aspect of the Developer Division. Microsoft is committed to contributing to and escalating with the Python neighborhood, and Guido’s on-boarding is a reflection of that commitment,” the spokesperson explained.
The Dutch programmer begun operating on what would become Python back again in 1989.
